Community Health Symposium

The Community Health Symposium is an annual event that provides organizations within the state of Florida opportunities to help improve the wellness of Floridians. In addition, it provides a way for members of the community to discuss critical health care issues and look for solutions to affordability, access, and quality.

Sapphire Awards

The Sapphire Awards honor programs, organizations, and individuals that have demonstrated excellence and innovation in addressing community health issues. Since 2005, a total of 130 Sapphire Awards have been presented totaling more than $6.3 million.

Nominations for the 2023 Sapphire Awards competition close on October 13, 2022.

2022 Highlights

The Florida Blue Foundation’s Community Health Symposium and Sapphire Awards is an annual two-day event that brings together thought leaders, supporters of the Florida Blue Foundation and nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the health of the communities in our state. This year’s event focused on health equity, one of three key drivers of health that have a significant impact on overall health and health outcomes.
